WTF? The bulbs are all dangling at various angles. I look at her and I could tell she’s already ahead of me and she puts it down and starts unscrewing the bulbs. I mean, if you’re careful, the likelihood of one of them breaking is maybe like 5%, but to have all those chemicals spewed all over the back of the mini-van where my nephews are frequently sitting on the car seats does not sound like a pleasant idea. I really dislike CFL bulbs.

Do they stop working sooner if they are not used much? We definitely don’t have that closet light on all that much. Now I have to figure out how to dispose of this thing. Environmental hazard.

When they break you can have an extremely dangerous situation on your hands.

Incandescent light bulbs are expected to be phased out by 2012.

If a CFL bulb breaks you should evacuate the room and turn off any ventilation systems.
